Rebecca's first recital
Rebecca L. Pomerantz may seem shy, but she delights in singing before rapt audiences the songs her "Bubbe" taught her. She also smiles broadly when family members applaud heartily at the songs' conclusion.
After weeks of singing songs to her immediate family members who marveled in her ability to carry a tune and enunciate each word with perfect diction even when she sings the French ballad "Frere a Jacka," Rebecca made her debut concert appearance before roughly 30 other kids gathered at an Upper East Side kiddie gym for playtime.

The group leader asked if anyone wanted to sing a song. Rebecca moved to the center of the room and did a solo of "Frere a Jacka."
The audience broke into loud applause when the song concluded and Rebecca flashed her trademark grin.
